The Delain Insurance Agency is a full service, multi-line insurance agency. We offer personal, business, life, health, and specialty insurance lines such as flood insurance, special events, or wedding insurance. In addition to insurance, we also provide commercial, court, and notary public bonds for our clients. We believe in making house calls and personally inspect all properties we insure to be certain we have properly insured our clients.
Our strength lies in our years of experience coupled with a great number of insurance companies to find and provide you with the coverage needed at an affordable cost. We belong to a cluster of insurance agencies, the Strategic Independent Agents Alliance (SIAA) which gives us access to many more companies than would otherwise be available. Our agents are members of the Professional Insurance Agents, which provides continuing education to keep current of the latest developments involving insurance. We also belong to the Better Business Bureau, and are proud to be recognized as an accredited business of the Better Business Bureau. While we use state of the art technology to keep abreast of the latest developments, we also keep paper files as a back-up to our computer-based files. This duel system helps us to know our customers on a personal basis instead of as a number. We enjoy our personal contacts with our clients. David Delain began as an insurance agent in 1982. His agency started in Casco and later moved to Luxemburg. These small town roots form the basis of believing in providing quality personal service by knowing our clients, their needs and wants. They provide the background to our motto "We Insurance Your Peace of Mind". In 1992 the agency became an independent agency so we could offer products better suited to our client needs. Having outgrown the available space in Luxemburg, the agency moved to Green Bay in 1998. Our current location of 2311 University Ave, Green Bay, provides you with easy access from throughout northeast Wisconsin. (back to top)
David Delain founded the Delain Insurance Agency, beginning his insurance career in 1982. Before that he was a Navy veteran, having served in Viet Nam. After the Navy he finished college, graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. He taught school in the Denmark School District from 1974 to 1979. A career change brought him to the NCR Corporation before settling into the insurance field.
David is married to his wife, Judy, and they have four children. The youngest, Kimberly, is in school at Purdue Kimberly, studying computer graphics technology and Japanese. His daughter, Megan, got married in August of 2009. She is a teacher in Los Angeles. His oldest two children, Eric and Kisha, live in the Minneapolis area, along with his three grandchildren.
David is licensed to sell property, casualty, life, and health insurance. He does commercial and personal insurance, enjoying all aspects of insurance. As he often says, he does not go to work. He goes to clients or the office, and is compensated for his time. He is fortunate to have a career that pays him for what he enjoys doing. (back to top)
Jeri Wurth’s insurance career began in 1978, working for an Iowa agency writing individual and group health policies. Two decades later, first in personal lines and then in commercial, our family moved to Wisconsin. She began her employment with the Delain Insurance Agency in the year 2000. Although she works mainly as a customer service representative and with commission entries, she has maintained her life and health insurance licenses.
As a mother of four and grandmother to ten, the job has given her more flexibility in her working schedule. With the continuous changes in the company policies, computer quoting and insurance law, the challenges have been everything but boring. (back to top)
Crystal started working for Delain Ins in March 2003 as a CSR, in 2006 she obtained her insurance license in personal lines. She got married in Sept 2010 to Dennis Boe and between them they have 3 children, Nicholas, Taylor & Austin.
Crystal loves being able to make her clients happy by finding them great rates and companies that fulfill all their insurance needs. Being an independent agent is the only way to go for Crystal because there are so many more options to offer her clients when life throws out its little curveballs. (back to top)
Giselle Vlies starter her insurance career at age 18 and earned her accredited customer service license in the industry. She became licensed in property and casualty in Florida in 1992. She worked at a large company in the risk management department for over 10 years. After marrying in Florida, her husband (originally from Denmark), moved back to Wisconsin in 1998. Giselle obtained her Wisconsin Property and Casualty license that year and has continued working in the insurance industry part-time while raising her two children now ages 12 and 7. (back to top)
Sheba, the Delain Insurance Agency mascot, is the un-official greeter of clients when they come to the office. She loves attention and is not opposed to treats. Sheba also believes her job is to protect the office from rogue paper clips. If one falls on the floor, she will toss it into the air until someone sees it and takes the paper clip from her. Of course, Sheba expects to be rewarded for her bravery by receiving a treat. When Sheba is not at the office, she goes home with her chauffeur, David Delain. In her spare time, she loves: hunting, hunting and hunting!
